Copyright & Takedown Requests

GravyBread respects the rights of artists, songwriters, photographers, labels, and every creator in music. This page explains how rights holders can report content they believe infringes their copyright, and how members can respond if their content is removed by mistake.

GravyBread is a social music platform. We do not host or stream commercial recordings. Songs shared on GravyBread link out to authorized music services. Members may share images, artwork, comments, and links, and we act on valid notices about that content.

Reporting copyright infringement

If you believe content on GravyBread infringes a copyright you own or are authorized to represent, email hello@iProdigy.xyz with the subject line "Copyright Notice." Under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), your notice should include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed.
  • Identification of the content on GravyBread you believe is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it (for example, the page address and a description).
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Before sending a notice, please consider whether the use may be permitted, for example as fair use. Knowingly submitting a false notice may make you liable for damages.

What happens next

We review copyright notices to determine whether they contain the information required by applicable law. Incomplete notices may not qualify for action under the DMCA process.

When we receive a complete and valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the reported content. Where appropriate, we may notify the member who posted it and provide them with a copy of the notice or relevant information about the claim.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this happened because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to hello@iProdigy.xyz with the subject line "Counter-Notification."

Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the content that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  • Your name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which GravyBread may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or their agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we will generally forward it to the original complainant. Under the DMCA, we may restore the content between 10 and 14 business days after forwarding the counter-notification unless we first receive notice that the original complainant has filed a court action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

Repeat infringers

GravyBread maintains and reasonably implements a policy for terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of members who are repeat copyright infringers. We may consider relevant notices, counter-notifications, the circumstances of each case, and other appropriate information when applying this policy.
